The outside made me believe the place was closed, or not even occupied by a business. Upon going inside the dining area looked like it hadnt been used in a long time. There was thick dust all over the walls, lights, and hanging from the ceiling. Every table was empty, and the general vibe inside was very depressing. The staff wanted to recommend their best sellers but did not listen to the dietary restrictions of the customers. Recommending and serving foods I was unable to actually eat. The menu was overloaded with 80% of it being "spicy" foods. Thankfully a non spicy option was available despite it not being stated on the menu. Upon being able to actually try the food, the seafood was quite good. Especially the squid was likely my favorite of all the options. My husband enjoyed the spicy ribeye steak, however the other recommended items by the staff left much to be desired in regards to flavor even with being paired with sauces. My final disappointment with the overall experience was the rice served. Had a larger party of 12. Probably one of the most affordable KBBQ I've had and the quality of the meat was great. There were a few hiccups with the grills but everyone was very kind and attentive to resolve that. They even gave us complimentary Korean Fried Chicken wings which were AWESOME. Will definitely come back, they took such great care of us!

Wow, the food was outstanding! We had a large group and reserved one of the private dining rooms in the back, which was perfect for our party. The service was attentive, and the Korean BBQ grilling was easy and fun. The staff kept refilling our banchan (the small side dishes), and I definitely had my fill of kimchi while enjoying all the different cuts of meat. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. If you’re looking for a great place for a group dinner or just excellent Korean BBQ, I highly recommend it. We’ll definitely be back!

Easily the best AYCE KBBQ in the Montgomery County area. I’ve been to many AYCE KBBQ places around and none come close to the quality and variety you get. Not only is it similar price to the other restaurants, but it comes with much more variety and options than other places. It’s a great hangout spot and it is BYOB so bring your own things! Highly recommend! I’ll be back quite frequently.

I've been to Surah many times throughout the years~ The food has overall been fairly good and consistent~ The service is fairly consistent as well, although the staff has changed quite a bit throughout the years, but they are mostly attentive, sweet, and courteous. The prices have gotten a little ridiculously high, but that goes for many other establishments. If you're craving KBBQ, this is probably one of the better options in the area.
